Minifig.scot is owned and operated by Steve Scott, a semi-retired digital creator based in Peebles in the Scottish Borders. Steve is a former freelance draughtsman with many years of experience in computer aided design (CAD) consultancy and is currently database and application developer at Brickbrowser – the family business specialising in sale of LEGO® parts online.
Finding himself somewhat frustrated at the lack of options when it came to Scottish themed minifigures, Steve started work on developing a range of authentic Scottish products back in 2019.
Three years later and after many ‘back to the drawing board’ moments, Steve posted an image of his prototype ScotFigs on social media to see if there would be much interest in the concept.
Suffice to say that the response was sufficiently positive to warrant the launch of minifig.scot.
